Introducing quarter wave reflective phase retardation coated mirror into the beam delivery path eliminates curve variations by converting linear polarization beams to circular polarization.

Circular polarization occurs when S and P polarization are equal and uniform cuts are achieved regardless of cut direction.

Typically used as the last mirror before the focusing lens.
